I. Main Functions
1. Thermal Isolation
*Reduces heat dissipation from the hot end to the surrounding area, keeps the nozzle temperature stable, and avoids stringing, clogging and other issues caused by uneven heat dissipation.
*Prevents heat from transferring to the cooling fan or heat break, protecting cold-end components (such as PTFE tubes) from high-temperature deformation.
2. Improve Printing Quality
*Stabilizes the temperature field of the hot end and reduces defects such as layer lines and warping caused by temperature fluctuations.
*Suitable for printing high-temperature materials such as ABS/PC.
3. Safety Protection
*Prevents users from accidentally touching the high-temperature heating block (surface temperature can exceed 200°C) and avoids scalding.
*Blocks molten material splashing and reduces the risk of hot end contamination.
II. Compatible Models & Installation
Compatible Models: P1/X1 series.
Installation Position:Wrap around the heating block (keep away from heating and temperature measurement areas).
III. Material Features
*High-temperature resistant silicone: Withstands short-term temperature up to 300°C; recommended for long-term use at ≤250°C.
*Flexible design: Fits tightly on the heating block, easy to install and remove (no tools required).
IV. Usage Notes
1.Before installation: Make sure the hot end is completely cooled to avoid scalding or silicone deformation.
2.When printing high-temperature materials: Check that the silicone sock fully covers the heating block to avoid local overheating.
3.Maintenance suggestion: Regularly clean residual plastic debris inside the silicone sock (can be wiped with alcohol pads).
